How do you select your coffees?
We select only single-origin coffees that are grown and roasted mindfully. We work with roasters who are respected leaders in the industry and we evaluate the many samples we receive for taste, wet aroma, dry fragrance, mouthfeel, and complexity. Each month we feature a different coffee from a different roaster in a different part of the world.
-
How does the recurring monthly subscription work?
Your first coffee will be shipped on the next scheduled shipment date. We ship our coffees in the first two weeks of each month, and we will charge your card on the first day of the month for recurring subscriptions. Your first payment happens the day you purchase your subscription and subsequent payments will automatically occur on the first day of each month, starting on the second month of your subscription.
-
When will my coffee arrive? How fresh will it be?
While we cannot guarantee arrival times, in most cases, your coffee should arrive approximately seven days off the roast date. This is the optimal amount of freshness. Coffee needs time to rest, acclimate, and degas after being roasted, which translates to even brewing. The coffee will taste sweeter and more rounded. You can expect to receive your coffee by the middle of the month.
-
What's the shelf life of my coffee? How should I store it?
Most of our coffees will maintain their freshness up to three to four weeks off the roast date, if unopened and stored well. Once opened, we recommend using your coffee within two weeks.
In addition, we recommend storing your coffee in a cool, dry place. Our bags are resealable, but if you choose to store the coffee in a different container, make sure that it is airtight, unscented, and opaque. Do not store your coffee in the fridge or freezer. -
Do you rebag or repack your coffee?
Our coffees are not repacked. We decided against this because rebagging coffee exposes the coffee to air, introduces oxidative stress, and accelerates the coffee’s degradation. All coffee is packaged into our bags at our roaster’s facility.
In order to maintain freshness, we only offer our coffees as whole bean. -
How many cups of coffee does each bag make?
This depends on your recipe. Most of our pour-over recipes, for example, will start with a dose around 23g and will yield 12oz of coffee. Our bags contain 250g, which, with that recipe, would make about 11 cups.
-
What's the best way to brew my coffee?
Our general brew guides suit a wide variety of coffees and following them is a good place to start. We also ship each coffee with a specific recipe each month, for the best tasting brew method. We would encourage you to look at our Learn section and experiment to adjust each recipe to taste.

Do you ship internationally?

Do you offer wholesale?
Definitely. Simply fill out our consulting form and we'll get you set up.

There were problems with my shipment and/or I don't like the coffee. Can I send it back?
We’re sorry to hear that. We believe that the coffee we select is of the highest quality but we understand that taste is very subjective. We also understand that sometimes, things may go wrong during transit. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns. Please e-mail us and we’ll do our best to make sure you’re satisfied.
-
I enjoyed the coffee I received. Can I order more of it?
That’s great to hear. While you won’t be able to subscribe to that particular coffee, there’s a chance that you’ll be able to find it for sale in our Shop. Occasionally, we will have extra coffee leftover after all shipments have been sent out, and we will make this available for purchase.

How do I pause or cancel my subscription?
You can pause your subscription in the homepage of your account. To cancel your subscription, send us an e-mail and we'll take care of it for you. We process all orders on the first of each month, so we'll require notice before the first of the month that you no longer wish to receive coffee.
